Welcome to my World.
I'm Abs, founder, Absinthia's Bottled Spirits.
As an art history major, Absinthe, & its place in it the arts, always intrigued me.
Once you experience the Green Fairy, La Fee Verte,
you will feel why it was so revered by poets, musicians, painters, dreamers, doers.
My first taste, November 1996.
So in.
Absinthe’s origins, lore, romance, became a passion & an advocation.
At the time, Absinthe was more popular than wine.
A power struggle ensued.
Absinthe was outlawed.
Besmirched. Maligned.
Sound familiar?
Thus, my journey began.
I shared my first Absinthe crafted bottle on April Fool's Day, 1997.
Poetic, right?
Refining craft, honoring legacy.
Absinthia Absinthe became the thing with friends, family, the Playa, fellow travelers.
In 2007, absinthe became legal.
It was my time.
Bootlegger to absintheure.
Winning San Francisco
World Spirits Gold medal.
The Blanche, my first creation, a wellspring to new adventures:

co-created with award-winning mixologist Jared Hirsch.
