Strawberry Shortcake Station
Mason jar desserts are more popular than ever! Have your guests join in on the fun and make a Strawberry Shortcake station using a few simple ingredients...and Mason jars, of course.
You can bake up your own shortcake, or, if you're in a time crunch, pick up a pound cake or angel food cake at your local supermarket. Cut into small cubes.
Prepare 16 oz. of strawberries by slicing, then adding sugar and a little water (this turns into a sweet syrup). For the whipped cream, you can purchase pre-made or go homemade using heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar. Blend until stiff peaks form.
To the bottom of a Mason jar, add about 6 cubes of cake.
Add a layer of whipped cream, then strawberries, and more whipped cream. Depending on the size of the jar you are using, alternate layers to the top. Finish with a dollop of whipped cream and a strawberry slice garnish. Get creative and have more options for your guests like blueberries, raspberries, or cubed mango and shredded coconut.
